Jefferson College will host a youth mental health first aid course on Jan. 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Student Center Conference Room on the Hillsboro campus. The course is primarily intended for adults to learn how to help young people experiencing mental health challenges or crises. It reviews the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents and young adults and emphasizes the importance of early intervention.
