This growing body of mental health research shows the power of early intervention.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-element-032dda02\">\n<div class=\"mhfa-container-wdith gb-element-745886de\">\n<div class=\"gb-element-25b14e92\">\n<h2 class=\"gb-text mhfa-h2-heading gb-text-29e925ef\">Mental Health First Aid Works<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-element-83e9dc27\">\n<p class=\"gb-text mhfa-paragraph-style gb-text-a254b130\">Over 91 peer-reviewed studies have shown that MHFA works. People who are trained in MHFA:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Show reduced stigma and increased empathy toward those with mental health challenges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Know the signs, symptoms and risk factors of mental health and substance use challenges.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Show greater confidence and likelihood to help someone in distress.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use their skills anknowledge as First Aiders to manage their own mental wellbeing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"gb-element-653a4381\">\n<h2 class=\"gb-text mhfa-h2-heading gb-text-11f1562c\">What Mental Health Studies Say<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Our research summary collects the highlights from over a decade of mental health studies. The results make the case for MHFA, showing that it reduces stigma and builds confidence.
